it’s been month I had crashes left and right, sometimes to the point of killing the whole computer, always thought it could be my GPU, but no, chat gpt found out it was the dynamic VRAM of comfy ui all this time, and the only reason I went to gpt was because it was every 2 generations, crash, hang, X20 time on the k samplers,… from something that happened 2 or 3 times per sessions, it became the norm and… removing dynamic vram fixed it. I saw it’ll be soon deprecated the "“no dynamic vram”, please don’t, otherwise I won’t be able to use comfy ui anymore

Very interesting! I may have been on the wrong track since about March. I have an RTX5090 32GB with 64GB RAM and a top Intel processor. Top of the line MSI Infinite series I invested in specifically for ComfyUI and other AI ventures (no gaming). I’ve been researching temp problems. The CPU is watercooled, but fan cooled GPU. I’ll be running a workflow and BAMMMM! System reboots. What’s weird is I open the same workflow and can generate for hours after that doing the same thing! Makes me wonder if Dynamic VRAM is my problem too.
I’ve had the system since Nov 2025 (worked fine) and at best recall started having the phantom shutdowns around Feb/March this year. I’ll be watching this thread.
