Greetings, I saw your post here (Reddit - Dive into anything) and here are my
Questions:

  1. Is there any way you could one day detail and explain the code behind ComfyUI? The code is there for anyone to read but I wish you could have some educational course where you show how you implemented Mochi (for example)
    So you would explain that, in order to include mochi implementation you needed to go alter all the following files:
  • file 1
  • file 2
  • file 3
  • …
    And explain in each instance how they are all connected.
    And do many of these educational (articles, or videos or other).
    It needs to be practical (like mochi implementation).

  1. Can you make a tool for comfyUI custom node makers to rapildy find if a node name already exists so they can change their node name and not have same node names before releasing their custom node?

  2. Can you make a tool that auto creates custom nodes, you just fill a form with node name, the scripts (what it does) and probably some connections.

  3. Can you make (with AI, advanced models) an automated method to analyse every bit of every code of every custom node?
    For example someone had reported custom nodes that hide the “donate button” under some hidden code (impossible to find with ctrl+F or any search), prompting the question: what other codes are hidden elsewhere?
    This is especially important in the dawn of ultralytics incident (but that was just an incident, there are probably others unkown?)
    At the end there should be some table or encyclopedia with the custom node codes and next to them the status (analysed with AI and found tobe perfeclty safe, or found this xxxx code suspicious but probably ok (orange colour), or found this suspicious thing (red color))

  4. Can you integrate LOT more workflows (natively)? The thing with a1111/forge/sdnext webui was that it had pre implemented workflows, we knew where were the buttons to do a hires fix, we switched from a normal text to img gen to a anew workflow that had hires fix inside it. We needed only one button. In comfy I need to find what is the node related to hires fix, then go learn how to use and connect it then check if dont need any new custom node, then find that there are many options i dont know which one is better.
    In addition, in a1111 webui’s I could send my image from t2i to i2i with one button, in comfy I need to find the right workflow (Not sure even I have it),

6)Another thing, in a1111 websuis I can see the content of an image just by checking it in another tab. In comfy I need to
a) find where is the image
b) open a new tab to not lose the current workflow
c) drag that image, and now finally I can see the positive I had used
d) That was not the image I wanted I need to restart all of this
in a1111 I could see the result in an alternate tab, and see all details in one block of text

Idea: Can you make a “mini-comfyUI” only for checking workflows, all nodes do not run, you are only able to see your workflow. you dont need to run the real comfy ui install, no ressource are used, its a mini comfyui that shows you things and never call much ram or gpu.
It will allow to see poisitive, to modify workflows add ore remove nodes, etc.

Interesting?

  1. Can you one day make a “magical tool”?
    This tool is essentially a “holy hand”, it will allow the user to click on a portion of the workflow and ask for a change.
    For example I click on an upload image node, and ask the hand or magical wand, to make it receive multiple images from a directory. and it does that. (old node stays there in the back but its deactivated). the new node is automatically connected to the rest of the workflow.

Maybe simpler: just making it go search in the list of available nodes and ask you which one you like (it shall show you relevant or alternatives only).

Other type of questions:
8) What are the chances you stay 100% open source and never be bought by advertisers? And what are the conditions for that? Do you need more donations (I think you should ask for that)

  1. Are there more ai models in the lurking, that people dont know about, that only you and their makers know about? When can we expect them?

  2. can comfy run on an arduino? RasperyPi?

  3. what is the minimum config, comfy is able to generate images? (even if that means waiting long time)

  4. can you build a tool that can “make up from thin air” workflows? Just by making it look at all the available nodes from all nodes and let it imagine some workflow? (That’s part of the magical wand or holy hand I mentioend earlier)

  5. How are you feeling? How many hours do you work? Do you work on other things than comfy?

  6. How diverse is your team (countries)? How many are you? Do you need new people? Are amateurs needed in your team? of any sort.

  7. What happened with Stability AI. They had the funds and had you as part of them, then they were no longer able to sustain the cost I think?

  8. What do you prefer discord or reddit? What other socials do you use?
