Comfy_kitchen backend triton

New to Comfy, was running the Portable flavor on W11, ryzen9 128G ram, a sad little NVIDIA 3060, will up when I can muster that… The issue’s there began with discovering ‘comfy_kitchen backend triton was not only not loading, it states:

‘Found comfy_kitchen backend triton: {‘available’: False, ‘disabled’: True, ‘unavailable_reason’: “ImportError: No module named ‘triton’”, ‘capabilities’: }’

from there I found multiple nodes, models, etc no longer operable, updates failed to fix, roll backs failed… I have read several places that the triton module is a NVIDA specific, and quite common for a lot of nodes… I do believe that triton did initially exist, before upping Python, and pytorch to ‘recommended’, and required versions for several newer Models and nodes. Though, I may be wrong and triton was never there…

anyone got insight on this as the models and nodes I can no longer work are one’s that I found very workable for my flavor of use…

respect to all you Comfy magicians… I am loving it even more than the UI I built from scratch and have been using from some years ago

also… same triton unavailability in the desktop logs (which I just now loaded up figuring perhaps the Portable was a bit less updatable (as I had to do with Python and Pytorch in there)
