Hello everyone, it seems that after the latest update, it’s no longer possible to delete generated images. We can only save and edit them. I tried contacting technical support without success. Do you have a solution?
Thank you all.

I’m not certain I understand your predicament since I haven’t had the problem. But an alternative way is to replace the “Save Image” node with the “Preview Image” node. You can always choose to “Save” if you like the output and not load up your “Output” folder with rejects. Hope that helps. Oh, and don’t forget to “Save Workflow” so the alteration sticks for next time.
Hello and thank you for your reply. I didn’t explain myself well, sorry. My problem is being able to delete images. I’ve attached some examples. The “delete” function has disappeared; only “edit” or “save” remain. How can I delete the images that are automatically saved in the nodes? Thank you in advance. Sincerely,
Hello, thank you for your feedback. So, I just need to wait for the fix? I tried clicking on the image; the drop-down menu appears, but there’s no “delete image” option. I’ll wait for the next update then. Regards.
I think what Mor74 is getting at is downgrading your front end to regain what was lost from upgrading. Comfy’s Front End does not automatically update; you must do that manually and there are better explanations on how to do that posted from others. And “waiting for the fix” might be futile. I hope I’m wrong.
I didn’t recommend another possible alternative to your situation because I’m still not totally clear if it solves your problem but here it is anyway. A contributor on YouTube I have followed for a while now recently compiled a very comprehensive ComfyUI node which includes tons of alternative substitutes for some common things like “Save Image.” You just search for “Pixaroma” in the Node Search and install the thing in your “Custom Node” folder. Here’s the link to check out: GitHub - pixaroma/ComfyUI-Pixaroma: Pixaroma ComfyUI Nodes · GitHub
Once installed, simply replace the Comfy “Save Image” node with Pixaroma’s “Preview Image.” His node allows you save image in whatever folder you want, in the normal default CUI, folder, copy image and open image. The regular node saves everything whether you want it or not. And “Preview Image” doesn’t save unless you rt clk it. I think this is what you’re getting at(?)
Otherwise, the other nodes he created are also very useful also depending on your need.
Ah, ok! You want to delete the picture from the node! I’ve always wanted that too. The only way I’ve found is to delete the images from the “input” folder within the CUI file folder. Then I think you have to refresh OR restart CUI to empty that field. I’d be interested, too, if anyone has a better solution.
As far as the front end, I received a reply from someone instructing me on the process for front end updating a while back so here it is just in case you’re not familiar. I used Stability Matrix when I first got into this hobby. I like to try different things. When I discovered “portable” installations like Comfy-Easy Install and the fact that I could download AND store models OUTSIDE of the main program and link them back, I was protected from having to re-download models again if I decided ComfyUI was getting bloated and wanted to start fresh without having to re-download all the models again! Easy-Model-Linker is 2 clicks and it’s done! Of course, you have to go through all the “missing nodes” procedure . . .
You might also want to take a look at Pinokio. It operates in the portable manner (contains its own Python) and it has access to almost all of Matrix’s nodes plus so many more. Worth taking a look at.
Divertiti, amico mio!
