Latest Iteration/Update Unable to install/launch

Latest update broke EVERYTHING. It won’t even install with just the already pre-defined install settings… It would GREAT for this to be FULLY TESTED before it’s rolled out to EVERYONE. I was in the middle of production, and now I’m having to stop and wait for this to be fixed. :rage:

And I am

The update messed up everything. None of my custom directories are being detected, custom_nodes isn’t even loading. Why just why did you all not check AND thoroughly test the update before rolling it out? This is really frustrating as a daily user of this program for over a year. Not only wasting time to reinstall it, but now wasting time trying to get all my directories and nodes to work. I’m pulling out my hair about all of this.

我在您的帖子上面提到的步骤概述了要做什么。如果我使用的翻译器翻译错误,我深表歉意。

@ZUSIMA Hey, really sorry to hear about the issues you’re having. We perform both automated and human tests on the app before releasing it. We need to find out what caused this issue for you, so we can ensure it is tested for in future.

Please note that this app is still in public beta - the current version is not intended for production use! I would strongly recommend that if you wish to continue using it in that way, that you disable automatic updates in settings. Then you can back up, install updates when it is convenient, and easily roll back versions if necessary.

I had the same error. After I cleaned up everything and started fresh install, it comes out “Failed to create virtual environment error code - 999”

We’ve released version 0.4.18!

If you do continue to experience issues, please let us know.

After the latest update, my ComfiUI no longer starts either. I can show you the log, but as new user i can t upload.

Thank you for your reply. I will install this version after making sure the remnants of the previous installation no longer exist. I’m also wondering why my directories for models is not be accepted in the yaml.

I cant even get it to install.

From what I understand, you’ll have to make a separate forum post with your problem for them to properly answer you specifically. Good luck.

I managed to get it reinstalled(Thankfully) BUT huge problem.

When I open the

It shows me the yaml.
I have input all my directories, after trusting the document via VSC (Visual Studio Code)
Saved the document. Restarted Comfy. Models are no where to be seen even though in the yaml, they are saved.

I don’t see the extra mode paths being added to ComfyUI. You might be missing the |

Can you try this?

checkpoints: |
  models\checkpoints
  D:\DRIVE MODELS
  ...etc

If you add multiple paths under the same key, you need to have “|” before it.
See the example here.

After adding the suggested changes to the yaml, the program failed to load and it had to be reinstalled. Above is the log…

The only solution have found is to symlink the models folder into the new installation desktop directory of Comfy.

C:\Users\USER_NAME\Documents\ComfyUI

This can happen when the file is corrupt - there may be a formatting error. Could you please upload the file so we can ensure it’s not an issue with the app?
