cant start comfy UI, 5.8 wasnt working either
i am having the same issue but here is som additional information from the logs in my case : omfyui.venv\Lib\site-packages\torch\cuda_init_.py", line 403, in _lazy_init
raise AssertionError(“Torch not compiled with CUDA enabled”)

i have uninstalled and reinstalled torch in the comfyui environmet several times and verified it is torch+cuda121
