Updated now I have two top tab bars

After updating comfyui an additional redundant tab bar appeared on top. Can I get rid of this pointless space waster? (outside of downgrading if that’s even possible)

I also would like the traditional menu back with open / edit / etc drop down menus, those were far more useful than a bar on top of a bar

A work around I found. Settings>Comfy, Scroll Down to Workflow, and at Opened workflows position. Set it to Sidebar, and It’ll move the tabs at the top to a nested sidebar.

Yeah also not happy with this design decision. The menu is now super clumsy to use. Please make the collapsed menu optional.

And i miss my update node definition feature. Now i have to restart Comfy all the time

The two top bar issue i can understand though. It was very little space to display the workflows. So they splitted it into two lines.

Hey @Arunderan,

Refreshing the nodes is still available via hotkey (r), and the menu item will be back in the next release.

Ah many thanks. That’s a relief

I did not believe that the wasted space of the double bars was intended, so I reinstalled comfy a few times, always thinking something with my custom nodes was broken …

That was my first thought as well that this can’t possibly be intentional.

There’s the analogy of dish washer filling. Either it’s done by a Skandinavien architect, or a raccoon on meth. The latter fit’s this UX decision more tbh.

The new menu is very very annoying, to say the least.

That said, because of the subgraphs, I can see why there is second bar, but… Really?!?

The Subgraphs could be overlaid inside the viewport. Or at least make it optional, instead of wasting pixels. If I am within a subgraph, I don’t need breadcrumbs to lead me back out like Hansel and Gretel… Just hit ESC, like in Blender, which is perfect.
