Mac Desktop app show Manager is installed, but it does not appear in the interface

I installed ComyfUI Desktop version 0.6.0 per the instructions at MacOS Desktop Version - ComfyUI . The installation ran without incident and I reached the desktop interface. The manager was not installed, so I followed the standard advice - quit the app, in the terminal, cd custom_nodes then git pull from the github repo, then restart the app.

Strangely, when I go to C > Manage Extensions, the manager shows as installed:

But it does not show up in the interface in either menu version (top or disabled).

What gives?

Is there anyone from the ComfyUI team that can respond to what may be going on here? I have successfully done a manual install of the local web version including the manager, but would love to use the desktop version whenever this gets fixed! Thx!
