Manager in 0.6.0

Updated to ComfyUI v0.4.0, ComfyUI_frontend v1.33.14, ComfyUI_desktop v0.6.0

This is the 9th and 10th time I had to fully re-install ComfyUI desktop this year.

I do understand this is experimental pre- release software, but this time I can no longer install/ enable custom nodes.

I have just two (only 2!!!) custom nodes installed and I depend on them:
Advanced CLIP Text Encode
ComfyUI Inspire Pack

ComfyUI Inspire Pack can be installed, but does not run.

Advanced CLIP Text Encode even fails to install.

Even git cloning them into the custom nodes directory is not a workaround :frowning:

3 hours of lifetime lost for - nothing. :frowning: It was a fun year with Comfy, but an average lifetime of less than 4 weeks for a working installation is just devastating.

Dont bother answering. I am abandoning ComfyUI desktop. It is a lost cause.

After reading other horror stories on reddit, I’ll switch to ComfyUI Windows Portable, using PRIOR versions. Windows Portable 0.3.76 seems to be reasonable usable, while reports about 0.4.0 are not promising. It think going portable and always and ALWAYS keeping t least one prior version to fall back seems to be the only way to use ComfyUI.
