When trying to run a meager I2V workflow (that has worked in the past), the system kep crashing with no errors, just “ComfyUI ran into a problem and had to close” I tried adjusting VRAM / RAM settings, reducing frames count. Then change to “classic cache” just to try anything grasping at strawa, and the whole ComfyUI refused to start after that settings change. Insisting to re-install again to another directory. That whole process has failed and now i get this error. I have a Geforce RTX 4070, 128gb DDR5 RAM. I don’t see any reason for this much instability. Whats going on? I’ve sent several reports throughout the events. Love to hear back what can be corrected / improved.
Update, it wanted to re-install into a different directory folder and it would copy over models, nodes, etc. When doing so i kept showing errors, the it would try to fix them and just hng. After multiple attempts it reverted back to the fresh install screen, which was just done. At this point it appears multiple things corrupted and would not allow to even get back into the UI to change setting back. Quite frustrating since it’s been running pretty good all week.
Not being critical of ideas or people here, because no one commented in 48 hours with ideas why corruptive errors occured. I re-installed the UI and resolved the corrupted data issues. I would like to see a better involvement when errors are posted as it seems corrupt files aren’t uncommon. Stability should be a goal post. One more point, the versioning between all UI’s and their respective models are all over the place between CivitAi , GitHub and Huggingface, all downloadable and applicable in each UI, until they error out. But some are compatible, can get confusing for those unfamiliar to this type of random model viability. It would be nice if models, Loras, checkpoints etc, would have version compatibility built into the code )or indented into naming convention) so it cannot be acknowledged or visible in selections of incompatible UI’s.
