I’m on the App install version, not the portable version. The update works, (I see new version via help: about Comfy on restart) , but any change to custom nodes, and It falls back to the older version, and alerts “Update available” pop up. I’ve ran that update about 50 times over the past week. What can I do to make the updates stick?
Hi there, sorry to hear you’re having this issue. Would you be able to upload the application logs for us to take a look at, by any chance?
You can use the form at: https://comfy.org/upload-logs
Or alternatively, you may upload here. Please remove any personal information (e.g. username) before uploading.
Log file locations
- Windows: %APPDATA%\ComfyUI\logs
- Mac: ~/Library/Logs/ComfyUI
Log Files
- main.log - Contains logs related to the desktop app and server start, from the desktop electron process.
- comfyui.log - Contain logs related to the normal operation of ComfyUI, e.g. terminal output from the core ComfyUI process. If you have had installation trouble, this log may not be present.
There may also be older log files available. If so, please include:
- Up to two most recent main.log files
- Up to eight comfyui.log files
OK This is embarrassing. Turns out I had an older app bookmarked on my task bar, so Comfy was updating, but somehow my taskbar icon was loading an older version. When I opened from windows menu, it found the right one. I deleted my old task bar item. OMG, so many hours wasted cmd-line–installing stuff with grok
