Failed to Update ComfyUI-Manager within V1Desktop

Comfyui Desktop v0.4.5

In ComfyUI Manager Menu, it shows “ComfyUI: Unknown-
Manager: V2.55.3” in the right tab

when I try to update ComfyUI Manager in Custom Nodes Manager, it warns “ComfyUI-Manager update failed: Bad Request” and “Update(git-clone) error: GitHub - ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Manager: ComfyUI-Manager is an extension designed to enhance the usability of ComfyUI. It offers management functions to install, remove, disable, and enable various custom nodes of ComfyUI. Furthermore, this extension provides a hub feature and convenience functions to access a wide range of information within ComfyUI. / Not a git repository”

I’ve got exactly the same issue, been trying to update it to v3 since it came out with no joy. Last night the update to Comfy completely bricked my Desktop install and used Revo Uninstaller to completely remove it and then did a clean install and it still won’t update past v2.55.3, and I’m getting the same error message that you have.

Edit. Meant to add that I’ve uninstalled manager and reinstalled it in CMD using Git Clone on the fresh ComfyUI install, no joy.

In case anyone looks into this:

OS: Windows 11 Pro
GPU: Nvidia 3090
RAM: 64GB
CPU: AMD 5600X

An update is coming to enable the latest ComfyUI Manager features.

For now, the desktop app requires the version of ComfyUI Manager that it comes with. It is not recommended to try and update Manager manually. If you do find a way to force a newer version to load, you may find it breaks things in unexpected or subtle ways, and causes difficult to diagnose issues in the future.
