Hello everyone,
I’m a new ComfyUI user and I’m currently facing some difficulties with the ComfyUI Manager’s model library. There are over 400 models, which is overwhelming, and I’m struggling to choose the right ones for my desired styles.
My main concerns are:
Limited Model Information: The descriptions in ComfyUI Manager are quite brief, making it difficult to understand the models’ specific functions, use cases, and output effects.
Lack of Understanding of Model Types: I’m not very familiar with the different types of models like Checkpoints, LoRA, ControlNet, etc., and their respective roles and differences.
No Clear Selection Criteria: I’m unsure what criteria I should use to select models, such as generation style, detail quality, compatibility, etc.
Therefore, I’d like to ask for your guidance on the following questions:
How can I better understand the roles and differences between different model types (e.g., Checkpoint, LoRA, ControlNet) within ComfyUI Manager? Could you provide examples of their practical applications and effects?
How can I use the information provided in ComfyUI Manager (e.g., description, type, Base) to initially assess whether a model suits my needs?
Thank you very much for your help!
